The small country of Lebanon is located between Israel and Syria, on the east coast of the Mediterranean Sea. It is one of the few countries in the world where it is possible to spend the morning on the beach in the sun, and go to the ski slopes in the afternoon. It takes less than three hours to drive from one end of Lebanon to the other, but along that road you will come across centuries-old history, culture and a variety of natural beauties.

Skiing on top of the magnificent mountain of Lebanon, 225km of breathtaking beaches along the Mediterranean Sea, friendly and pleasant locals and one of the world's oldest civilizations, are just some of the reasons why so many people are attracted to this country, once known as the "Middle East Switzerland". In the last few years, the Lebanese have worked hard to rebuild their country and their tourism industry, and after decades of destruction and civil war.

Beirut, a city of millions, located between the mountains of Lebanon and the Mediterranean Sea, is the capital of Lebanon. The name of one of the oldest cities, whose beginnings date back to the fifteenth century BC, was given by the Phoenicians after the wells and the great wealth of water at that time. It is also called the Paris of the East, the city of tradition and modernity, youth and entertainment. As the center of the country, Beirut will be a starting point for many to explore the incredible Lebanon, a land of cedars, deserts and snowy peaks.

Lebanon is a country full of ancient Phoenician and Roman ruins, especially in the cities of Baalbek, Byblos, Sidon and Tire. Many of these cities are among the oldest settlements in the world.

Lebanese have excellent and widely known cuisine. Famous delicious dishes are baba-ghanoush - made from roasted eggplant; falafel - deep-fried dumplings made of a mixture of spices and chickpeas, shawarma - a sandwich with marinated grilled meat. An important ingredient in Lebanese dishes is hummus - a mixture of chickpeas, tahini sesame, lemon juice and garlic, and is usually eaten with Lebanese bread. The most famous dessert is baklava.

The climate in Lebanon is temperate Mediterranean, with warm and dry summers and cold and rainy winters. They have an average of about 300 sunny days a year, while January is the rainiest month of the year. Winters are colder, but pleasant for our terms, with an average temperature of about 15 degrees, except in the mountains, which receive a lot of snow. You can travel all year round, but the best time to travel is spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November).

Do you dream of an Arab country that has a lot to offer? Then Lebanon is the right destination for you!
